Welcome to Tadcaster Medical Centre

Part of the Tadcaster and Selby Rural Primary Care Network

WE ASK THAT ALL USERS OF THE MEDICAL CENTRE COVER THEIR FACES WHEN THEY ENTER THE BUILDING. A SCARF IS OK IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A MASK.

Important information about the coronavirus (COVID-19)

The NHS across North Yorkshire and Bradford will be better prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases, if the public follows Public Health England advice. Please see our news page for advice and useful links.

It is really important to remember that all the 'normal' illnesses that can make us unwell still remain and that you should still contact the surgery if you or your child are feeling poorly with symptoms that don't suggest COVID 19.

We have doctors and nurses available, initial contact will be by phone but if you need to be seen you will be. We have new video phones to reduce the number of patients coming down to the building and all patients with COVID symptoms are seen in a separate area. We encourage you to stay at home as much as you can but the phlebotomist is still with us three times a week if you need a blood test to make sure your medication is working correctly, the midwife is still seeing her patients (who clearly are on a deadline!) and immunisation clinics are running.

There is also a government website to help you find the support you need during this crisis. This has details on working, feeling unsafe, paying bills, getting food, having somewhere to live and your mental health.

Our online consulting system, contact us at a time that is convenient to you and we will respond either the same day if your contact is before 11am or the next day if after 11am. THIS  SERVICE IS NOT MEANT FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES.

The system may start to ask you lots of questions but you can skip them if you want to, don't be put off!

With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.

Get Well, Keep Well

Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
